Editorial Illustration Anger Management

Editorial illustration is illustration that takes its cues from things that are happening in the world, this could just be a way to articulate the artists’ thoughts, or it could be a direct connection to a specific piece of text or article. Taking this into account, I have read several articles and produced an illustration in response to them.

Before I did this, I researched a few different websites to find a few examples of editorial illustrations, here is an example.

 

This is an editorial illustration my Wijtze Valkema.

Here is an illustration I did in response to an article on anger management.
I attempted to get the idea of the article across, which was that being angry just makes other people angry in a vicious cycle. So I had lots of people attempting to stab the person in front of them to represent the cycle.
