Political Caricature

Caricature is a method of drawing someone in a way to emphasise their prominent features. This is especially prevalent in political cartoons due to the need to make fun of political figures, it makes them into more of a joke and means that people looking at the drawings would associate them being a joke with their political ideologies. Thereby achieving what the cartoonist is aiming for. Tom Richmond says there are three essential elements in a caricature, which I have tried to showcase in my illustration. These elements are likeness, exaggeration, and statement.

This shows a point he is trying to make about being able to show who you are drawing easily with five basic shapes.
